There is a Triathlon scheduled for Elwood on the Sunday! The base for this tri is the Elwood park 400m south of the hall.
This will cause massive head aches as we will be trapped in a the BAYWAC hall for the Sunday if we stay there.
The details;
“The Melbourne NISSAN/BRW Corporate Triathlon 2009 has reached capacity – entries are now closed
The NISSAN/BRW Corporate Triathlon National Series 2009 will kick off in style at Melbourne’s Elwood Beach on Sunday 1st March 2009.
Over 5,000 workplace friends and foes will once again vie for office bragging rights in what has become Australia’s number 1 corporate sporting event! “
– Elwood Triathlon
Both the run and the cycle head north (see the map)
OPTION 1.) Stay at BAYWAC
We will not be able to park in the street.
We will need a key to the gate for the car park and hall.
The run leg of the tri is directly at the rear of the hall along the bike park.
The risk factors are high given the number of people around the tri, and the lack of fencing around the hall.
OPTION 2.) Move to 11th Brighton Hall
WE ARE GOING WITH THIS OPTION
This hall is located below the junction of Gould St and the Esplanade in Brighton.

* There is better parking, and it is a more secure site for tents, so we can have some Cubs in tents.
* The kitchen is quite small so we will need to bring some more camp stoves and kitchen gear.
* There are A LOT of ants, we will need ant control methods to protect the food.
* There will also most likely be a boating course using the lower section of the hall during the day, and they will need parking space and clearance to get boat trailers to the water
* tents will need to be in front of the hall along the Southern fence line.
Getting there:
From Eltham we will still travel down Warrigal Rd, but instead of heading across North Rd we Head across South Rd
From Chelsea up Nepean Hwy and across at South Rd (or just up Beach Rd?)
OPTION 3.) Relocate to Mordialloc Sea Scout Hall
